Franceska Dalsaso
Product & Experience Designer
In work as in life, I believe the real difference is made by good people, empathy, listening, and the willingness to step up and get involved.
I ended up enrolling in Interface and Communication Technologies at the University of Trento almost by accident. “By accident” because, after five years of high school studying foreign languages, preparing shop windows, and even doing a bit of chemistry, the only thing I was certain about was that I needed to move away from a world that no longer felt like mine.
After months spent wondering which path to take, I finally had a revelation: Product Design. Unfortunately, enrollment was already closed. So I signed up for Interface instead, telling myself it wasn’t exactly what I wanted; many exams would have been common anyway. And then came the “Graphic Interface Design” course. It was love at first—and last—wireframe. Needless to say, I never left.
After graduating, I moved to Turin. I first worked for a creative agency in the retail sector and a few years later for a design studio focused on user experience. Qualitative interviews, usability testing, co-design sessions, workshops: a whole new world opened up. At last, I could design products and services that solved real problems, with an approach capable of truly putting people at the center.
During that time, I worked with both well-known and lesser-known clients, learning that the real difference is made by people: not only users, but also the people you work alongside. And it was precisely because of this that it became a truly meaningful journey.
Then life happens, and sometimes you decide to make the leap and change everything. After seven years, I chose to follow my heart and become a freelancer. That’s when I met Tangible. What was meant to be a temporary collaboration became a new home, a new team, a new beginning.
I love design, but I dream of a mountain library
Books have been with me for as long as I can remember. I never leave the house without something to read, especially when I go hiking. I love the mountains, the rewarding effort of the climb, and the sense of peace they bring. Give me a Steinbeck novel and, for me, the planets are perfectly aligned.
