Rita Caporrino
Motion & UI Designer
Since I was a child, I knew I wanted a job that could communicate through images and sound, and throughout my journey as a designer, I have explored different areas of the discipline.

Ever since I was a child, I have always been curious and fascinated by the visual arts—a passion my grandfather passed on to me by telling me stories about Renaissance artists as if they were bedtime fairy tales. As I grew up, I developed a deep interest in cinema, which I have always seen as the most complete form of art, capable of encompassing them all.
I knew from an early age that I wanted a job that communicated through images and sound, which is why, as a designer, I have explored different areas of the discipline. After earning my degree in Industrial Design, I immediately started working as a communication designer. After a few years in an agency, driven by my passion for cinema and typography—and my admiration for Saul Bass—I pursued a Master’s in Motion Design in São Paulo, the place where I was born. When I returned to Italy, I resumed my work with stronger skills and an even broader perspective on the field.

My decision to become a UI designer was reinforced by an experience that made me reflect deeply. Years ago, someone dear to me received an electric scooter designed for people with mobility challenges. She was excited to try it out, but the speed icons—a hare for maximum speed and a turtle for minimum—shaped her perception. Determined to "go as fast as a hare" rather than "slow as a turtle," she soon realized that speed was not suitable for her, which led to frustration and discouragement.
That moment made me understand how crucial it is to design with an inclusive approach because even a small visual detail can have a significant impact on people's experiences. This awareness has guided me in recent years in searching for a workplace that shares these values and applies them every day. The idea of designing solutions that truly make a difference is what drives me to grow as a professional.
My life is full of colors (always well-matched).
I’m afraid of airplanes, but I love traveling.
I love nature, but I prefer the stimulation of the city: cinema—popcorn mandatory—exhibitions, concerts, and flea markets, where I could spend hours browsing.
I listen to every kind of music, but the sounds that remind me of my roots always hold a special place in my playlist.
