We have started the procedure for Gender Equality Certification

In recent weeks, we have initiated the process to obtain gender equality certification, taking another step towards a fair and inclusive work environment.

Mosaic of the Tangible population. The diversity of gender, age and appearance among the people represents an inclusive and diverse environment.

In 2014, before we were Tangible, our values were already clear. During a workshop with Jacopo Romei and Erin Casali, we defined our vision and aligned the team on fundamental values. This exercise helped merge individual aspirations and talents into a collective community, the lifeblood of our corporate identity, identifying the values important to us.

In January 2017, through another workshop, we updated these values to include all new members who joined Tangible between 2014 and 2017. This cyclical process ensures that our values remain valid and reflected in daily behaviours and team dynamics.

Part of our mission has always been to create a workplace that values every individual, regardless of gender, ethnicity, sexual orientation, religion, or any other personal characteristic. This new goal fits perfectly into our journey of becoming a benefit corporation in 2021 and achieving B Corp certification in 2022, reinforcing our commitment to a sustainable and just future.

Diversity and inclusion policies

In our Playbook (available only in the Italian language), we have outlined specific policies over the past years to be implemented by 2023. With a slight delay, we have successfully revised the hiring and framing processes to favour competency-based evaluations.

Today, we are on track to achieve the second goal thanks to the path taken for gender equality certification.

Representation of Currently Unrepresented Groups: We promote the inclusion of diverse ethnicities, religions, ages, disabilities, sexual orientations, and genders, ensuring equal access to career and leadership opportunities.

Our code of ethics emphasizes the importance of integrity, transparency, and respect for people. These values guide us daily and underpin our decision to pursue gender equality certification. We firmly believe that a fair and inclusive work environment is not only right but also essential for our long-term success.

This commitment is an integral part of our vision of a company that not only embraces diversity but sees it as a source of strength and innovation.

    Looking to the future

The certification process will be rigorous and require our constant commitment to implementing best practices for gender equality. In continuity and alignment with our benefit journey, this certification will help us identify areas for improvement and implement practices that promote a work environment where every individual feels valued and respected.

An external and neutral entity can help us see ourselves as we truly are compared to how we think we are, highlighting behaviours or habits that need changing even if they brought us to where we are today.
The certification audit dates are set for November 27 and 29, 2024, preceded by staff training on September 18, 2024. These activities will undoubtedly help us challenge ourselves, renew, and also, why not, celebrate. This is how we can do our part to make our community ever more equitable and inclusive.

We are convinced that our journey towards gender equality is not a goal to be reached but a continuous journey that requires dedication, passion, and unwavering commitment to our values.
